North Carolina's unemployment rate for April remained unchanged from the revised March rate of 4.0 percent. This is 0.4 of a percentage point higher than the U.S. rate at 3.6 percent.
Seasonally adjusted Total Nonfarm employment increased by 13,200 in April to 4,555,200.
