North Carolina's unemployment rate for May increased 0.1 of a percentage point from the revised April rate of 4.0 percent. This is 0.5 of a percentage point higher than the U.S. rate at 3.6 percent.
Seasonally adjusted Total Nonfarm employment increased by 1,100 in May to 4,559,500.
