North Carolina's unemployment rate grew 0.8 of a percentage point from the revised February rate of 3.6 percent. This mirrored the U.S. rate at 4.4 percent.
Seasonally adjusted Total Nonfarm employment decreased by 22,600 in March to 4,589,400.
