North Carolina's unemployment rate grew 7.9 percentage points from the revised March rate of 4.1 percent. This is 2.5 percentage points lower than the U.S. rate at 14.7 percent.
Seasonally adjusted Total Nonfarm employment decreased by 571,700 in April to 3,996,000.
