North Carolina's unemployment rate remained unchanged from the revised April rate of 12.9 percent. This is 0.4 of a percentage point lower than the U.S. rate at 13.3 percent.
Seasonally adjusted Total Nonfarm employment increased by 67,100 in May to 4,063,300.
