North Carolina's unemployment rate remained unchanged from the revised November rate of 6.2 percent. This is 0.5 of a percentage point lower than the U.S. rate at 6.7 percent.
Seasonally adjusted Total Nonfarm employment increased by 33,600 in December to 4,403,200.
