North Carolina's unemployment rate at 3.7 percent declined from the revised November rate of 3.9 percent. This is 0.2 of a percentage point lower than the U.S. rate at 3.9 percent.
Seasonally adjusted Total Nonfarm employment increased by 20,000 in December to 4,579,300.
