North Carolina's unemployment rate at 3.5 percent declined from the revised February rate of 3.7 percent. This is 0.1 of a percentage point lower than the U.S. rate at 3.6 percent.
Seasonally adjusted Total Nonfarm employment increased by 18,100 in March to 4,712,800.
