North Carolina's unemployment rate at 3.4 percent declined from the revised March rate of 3.5 percent. This is 0.2 of a percentage point lower than the U.S. rate at 3.6 percent.
Seasonally adjusted Total Nonfarm employment increased by 11,300 in April to 4,729,100.
