North Carolina's unemployment rate at 3.5 percent increased from the revised July rate. This is 0.2 of a percentage point lower than the U.S. rate at 3.7 percent.
Seasonally adjusted Total Nonfarm employment increased by 10,100 in August to 4,801,300.
