RALEIGH - Public comments are being accepted through July 1 on proposed amendments to the Criteria for Operation and Implementation of the Job Maintenance and Capital Development Fund program.
Comments can be made in writing to Karen West, general counsel, by mail to N.C. Department of Commerce, 4301 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, N.C. 27699-4301, by hand-delivery to the Department of Commerce, located on the fourth floor of the Education Building at 301 N. Wilmington St., Raleigh, or by email to kwest@nccommerce.com.
An opportunity for oral comments will be provided at a public hearing set for 1 p.m. on July 7 in the Commerce board room on the 4th floor of the Education Building, 301 N. Wilmington St., Raleigh.
JMAC provides a limited number of grants to expanding businesses for substantial capital improvements and maintenance of high-quality jobs that will provide economic benefits to the State, where the grant is necessary for the sustainability and maintenance of the project in North Carolina.
The North Carolina Department of Commerce is authorized by G.S. § §143B-437.012 to implement and administer this program and to develop such criteria as may be necessary to carry out that purpose.
