Chick-fil-A Supply, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc., and distribution service provider of the chain’s restaurants, will create more than 85 jobs in Rowan County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. Chick-fil-A Supply will invest $58.3 million to open a new distribution center in the City of Kannapolis.“Chick-fil-A’s expansion is good for Kannapolis along with Rowan and surrounding counties,” said Governor Cooper. “We appreciate their vote of confidence in North Carolina and the strength of our workforce and infrastructure.”
Clayton Supply, part of Clayton Home Building Group, will create 263 jobs as it locates a new facility in Stanly County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company’s project will locate in New London.
Deere & Company [NYSE: DE] and Kreisel Electric GMBH, an Austrian company, which John Deere acquired majority ownership of in 2022, will create 50 jobs in Forsyth County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. John Deere Electric Powertrain LLC will invest $69.6 million to establish its North American headquarters and build a battery and charger manufacturing facility in the Town of Kernersville.

North Carolina Commerce Secretary Machelle Baker Sanders has named Kristina Ray as the next Administrator of Credit Unions, a role that includes supervision of the North Carolina Credit Union Division. As Administrator, Ray will lead the regulatory agency in promoting and assisting in the formation of credit unions in the state, as well as ensuring the safety and soundness of credit unions in compliance with applicable laws through yearly examinations.
