Stacy Cobb is the Internal Audit Director for the North Carolina Department of Commerce, where she leads a team of two auditors in providing independent and objective assurance and consulting services to the organization. She is responsible for developing and executing the annual audit plan, overseeing the quality and timeliness of audit reports, and communicating audit results and recommendations to senior management and the audit committee.
Stacy has over 15 years of experience in internal auditing, risk management, compliance, and governance. She has extensive knowledge of accounting standards, auditing standards, internal control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
Stacy is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).

A native of Enfield, NC, Stacy is married and has one son. She enjoys spending time with her family.
