Megan Forrestal
Megan Forrestal is a Master of Public Policy candidate in the 2025 cohort at UNC-Chapel Hill, specializing in environmental and human welfare policy with a focus on quantitative analysis.
Before pursuing her MPP, Megan earned her undergraduate degree at UNC, double majoring in Public Policy and Peace, War, and Defense with a concentration in International Security and Intelligence. She participated in the Honors Carolina Seminar on Public Policy and Global Affairs in Washington, D.C., where she interned with Fair Chance, conducting research on nonprofit outcomes for children, youth, and families.
Megan has applied her policy expertise through consulting projects with Audubon NC, FutureProof, and the NC Environmental Justice Network. She co-founded Girls Go Government, an organization dedicated to educating and empowering young women to pursue government and public service. Through her academic and professional experiences, she aims to bridge policy gaps and promote sustainable, equitable solutions to pressing global challenges.
